■依頼の目的/概要 (The objective/outline of this project)

ビジネス英語（Eメール／レター）の中級レベルのライティング教材（出版用）の中に出てくる、英文箇所のネイティブチェックをお願いします。日本語のものですが、テキスト中に多数、英語の例文やフレーズが出てきます。テキストの分量は約170－200ページほどで、例題も多数含み、およそ半分が英語のテキストやフレーズとお考え下さい（添付サンプルを参照のこと）。海外経験の豊富な著者が書いた英語を、ネイティブが見て不自然・不適切と思う箇所のみ修正して頂ければと思います。

We are planning to publish an English learning materials specified in business e-mail/letter writing for the Japanese English-learners of the intermediate level in Japanese. To this end, we need an English-native to proofread all the English parts, sited as sample mails, letters, sentences and phrases. The overall volume is about 170-200 pages, in which almost half is in English. (Please see attached some sample pages.) As it's written by the authors with rich experience in international working environment, it's unlikely that there are many grammatical/basic mistakes to correct; the candidate, therefore, is requested to check whether these sentences/phrases are natural and appropriate as business English for natives.

■重視する点 (Desired qualifications)

今回は英語ネイティブに限定。ビジネス英語を扱うため、ビジネス経験或いはビジネス英語の指導経験のある方、また扱う英語がアメリカ英語のため、アメリカ英語に精通した方を希望。また、日本語の書籍であることから日本語がある程度読める方が望ましい。

This job is available for English natives only. Since this book handles American business English, the candidate must have working experiences in and/or teaching experiences of American business English. In addition, the candidate with some reading skills of Japanese is preferred, considering that this book is written in Japanese.

応募時に、予算のほか、(1) 英語の校正(proof-reading)経験、(2) ビジネス英語の経験、(3)日本語力について明記して下さい。

When you apply, please clearly state, in addition to your proposed budget, your experiences/skills in (1) proof-reading in English, (2) business English, and (3) Japanese language.

原稿はまだ編集中のため、実質の作業にかかって頂くのは、10月半ば前後。校正にかかる期間は7日ほどでお願い出来ればと思います。もし無理な場合は、必要日数をご明記下さい。

As we are still working on the manuscript, it won't be before mid-October that we can hand it to you. And we expect you could finish proof-reading within 7 days or so. If this is not feasible, please state the realistic time frame in your proposal.

After a schedule review, we believe it's OK to allow up to 2 weeks for proof-reading.
